The Lung Learning Framework is Australia’s best-practice education and training competency-based framework for primary healthcare professionals to diagnose and support patients with lung conditions. The Framework was co-designed by a national consortium led by Lung Foundation Australia, The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and Asthma Australia.

Beginning with an evidence-based overview of CVD in COPD, the activity will use case studies to explore the challenges of CVD assessment in different COPD presentations and offer practical solutions for the GP towards improved detection and management, and improved models of care with specialists in different primary care settings.
This ALM explores the impact of asthma for patients, and common challenges to providing optimal care in primary practice. Based on current Australian guidelines, the ALM covers best practice diagnostic and management principles, strategies for preventive care and reducing the risk of hospitalisation, and real-world tips for making the most of your consultation time with a patient.
This course ahs been designed to teach students about the basics of spirometry,including how to achieve an acceptable and repeatable test according to the 2019 ATS standards. Students will learn how to troubleshoot poor spirometry and interpret results using LLN and Z scores. The course comprises of online modules as well has practical training in calibration and test performance.
Lung Foundation Australia's Digital Inhaler Device Technique Training is now accepting enrolments. Led by two Respiratory Nurse Instructors, these interactive 90-minute virtual workshops are limited to 10 participants per session.
